Providing on-the-job experience through cooperative education and internships for Georgia State University students
Challenge
How might we partner with potential employers to create mutually beneficial learning and career development opportunities?
Strategy
Two-pronged effort:
- Created cooperative education (co-op) opportunities to allow students to engage in full-time, 6 month-long, career-related field experience outside of academic coursework
- Developed internships to permit students to have a part-time job opportunity while taking academic courses during the semester
Outcome
No data available for GSU employment of undergraduate class.
